My News

Clare Lindop

On Saturday 1st September, 2018 I was inducted into the SA Racing Hall of Fame at the 2018 SA Racing Industry Awards.

As everyone who hasn’t been under a rock would know, I announced in March that this current Racing Season would be my last Adelaide Cup and SA Festival of Racing. I must say a big thank you to the Advertiser, Racing.com, TABRadio and all the other media platforms which have enabled me to reach out to the racing world and to the wider community as well.

I'd like to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone who has supported me throughout my career, including the punters who turn up at racetracks and UBET’s around the country; the country trainers who gave me my first breaks when I couldn’t sit on the proverbial “bay to city tram”; and the many owners from all different walks of life who I have had the honour to meet and to ride for, and who've believed in my ability to bring their horse home upfront.

Variety HWY

Thank you to all the generous supporters who came and enjoyed the “SA Racing Stars” Fashion Parade at the Highway last month in support of Variety - the Children’s Charity which raises money to assist sick, disabled and disadvantaged children.

On behalf of the SA Variety Bash Car 922 I am so pleased to let you all know the amount raised from the function was $4,104.35! Well done everyone!

Variety Fashion Show Red Dress

Thank you to the “Stars of South Australian Racing” who volunteered  their time for this very worthy cause; swaping riding silks and boots- surprising us all by how well they strutted their stuff on the catwalk in heels, stunning dresses and head wear along with the stylish suits and swagger from the guys!

- and it’s not too late if you would like to donate and help the ladies of SA Variety Bash Car 922 reach their fundraising goal of $25,000!
